Event: Willow Hedge Making Workshop

Where: The Serenity Community Garden at Great Western Villas, Phibsborough,
Dublin 7.
Event Details:
A living willow fence will be planted around the perimeter of the Great Western Square and District Community Garden, which is located at the end of Great Western Villas. As well as providing a natural fence with leaves and foliage in summer, the planting of this willow fence by the Hedge Laying Association of Ireland will provide a workshop for gardeners, residents, and the unemployed. This free event will explain hedge planting and its history, willow usage and its ecology, and a more general introduction to ecological gardening and biodiversity.
